My dad was always sharing this quote with me “there is no need for unnecessary suffering”.
Every time I showed up at home with a personal dilemma he would always express that I stayed too long in suffering. Whether it was my analysis of the problem OR of needing to have a better understanding of what was happening to me and my life. He always concluded I had stayed too long in suffering like it was a vacation or promised destination that I enjoyed visiting and didn't know when to come home. Hmm
Unfortunately, this played out in my divorce and other struggles in my past until I finally understood there was an actual process to Letting Go, which was simply the act of letting go. Hmm
UNSEEN RITUALS
Processes can be seen as rituals sometimes. Particular actions and steps you do in a sequence that is directed energetically to the outcome you want. So
Letting Go could be in the image of releasing the string of a balloon from your hand and watching it drift away...
There is a song called ‘Celebration’ by Kool & The Gang and to me, it speaks of an attitude we need to have in our letting go. We can put it into our morning rituals or afternoon walks but it’s time to celebrate. Celebrate that you are here right now making the best of this moment with the pandemic energy in tow.

Solutions and ideas can flow freely as the balloon drifting away with the heavy emotions that are dragging you down.
This is a practice of intentionally shifting your inner state of being and energetic attention to flow in the direction you want it to go in. Meaning redirect (your power) the attention from feeling down to feeling motivated, calm, hopeful, etc.
Release the balloon in order to allow more positive emotions to come in ⇒ point these positive emotions in the direction of celebrating... what you want and where you want to go ⇒ point the energy in a direction that satisfies your highest good, your True Self... like the
‘wise men following the North Star’.
